EXP: in emergencies, the Operations Centre initiates operational measures, particularly in connection with cross-border surveillance or other police operations; it is also the alert centre for the Special Task Force on Hostage-taking and Blackmail (SOGE) and for other federal agencies, ensuring round-the-clock availability; furthermore, the OC is Switzerland’s central office for the national child abduction alert system; its SIRENE office is the national contact point for all alerts via the Schengen Information System

EXP: dans les cas d'urgence, la CE fedpol dirige de manière autonome les premières étapes et mesures opérationnelles, notamment lors des observations transfrontalières ou d'autres opérations policières; en outre, elle agit comme centrale d'alarme pour l'Etat-major Prise d'otage et chantage ainsi que pour d'autres autorités fédérales et assure un service 24 h sur 24; la CE fedpol assume aussi la fonction de centrale suisse dans le cadre du système national d'alerte enlèvement; le bureau SIRENE, qui est rattaché à la CE fedpol, est le point de contact national pour toutes les recherches lancées via le Système d'information Schengen
