Procedure in which the members of the Swiss Federal Council, following the election or re-election of one or more members, allocate the seven departments among themselves, whereby the members in order of length of time in office may express their preferences, but must however accept the decision of the Federal Council as a whole and must accept the departments allocated to them.

Délibération au cours de laquelle le Conseil fédéral suisse se répartit les sept départements après l'élection ou la réélection d'un ou de plusieurs de ses membres, ceux-ci pouvant certes exprimer leurs préférences suivant le principe de l'ancienneté, mais devant accepter la décision du collège et le département qui leur a été attribué.

Deliberazione con cui il Consiglio federale svizzero, dopo ogni elezione per il rinnovo integrale o elezione suppletoria, decide l'attribuzione dei dipartimenti ai membri del Consiglio federale, tenuto conto che i consiglieri federali possono, per ordine di anzianità, sì esprimere le proprie preferenze, ma che devono rispettare la decisione del Collegio e assumere la direzione del dipartimento loro assegnato.
