Référendum facultatif qui peut donner lieu à une votation afin d'approuver ou de rejeter des lois fédérales, des arrêtés fédéraux ou traités internationaux d'une durée indéterminée et non dénonçables ou qui contiennent des dispositions juridiques importantes, si le peuple, c'est-à-dire au moins 50 000 citoyens disposant du droit de vote, l'exige.

Referendum del chiesto dal Popolo, vale a dire da almeno 50 000 aventi diritto di voto, per far indire una votazione popolare su leggi federali, decreti federali o trattati internazionali di durata indeterminata e indenunciabili oppure su trattati comprendenti disposizioni importanti che contengono norme di diritto.
