Ces quinze dernières années et sous l'égide de la Commission géodésique suisse (CGS), le laboratoire de géodésie et de géodynamique (GGL) de l'EPF de Zürich et swisstopo ont étroitement collaboré au développement d'un nouveau modèle de géoïde (CHGEO98) et de différents logiciels destinés au calcul de déviations de la verticale et d'altitudes orthométriques.
