At FDFA level. 'Krisenzelle' is a term used by the KMZ to refer to the temporary organisational unit within the FDFA responsible for the operational aspects of crisis management e.g. logistics. The term 'Krisenstab' refers primarily to the ad-hoc decision-making body established by the head of the department, comprised e.g. of the FDFA secretary general, state secretary, head of the KMZ, and head of Communication. The terms have sometimes been used interchangeably.
