Processo di stabilizzazione che consiste nella fusione delle scorie e ceneri da incenerimento a temperature superiori a 1000 °C con produzione di una fase liquida omogenea che viene rapidamente raffreddata in modo da ottenere un prodotto vetroso amorfo, che permette di ridurre i volumi e ottenere una matrice solida stabile.
