USG: bevorzugte Schreibweise; geläufige englische Schreibvariante: GRI Standard; "GRI" ist die Abkürzung des englischen Namens "Global Reporting Initiative"; die GRI-Standards unterstützen Unternehmen, Organisationen und Behörden weltweit bei der Erstellung von Nachhaltigkeitsberichten; sie enthalten Prinzipien und Indikatoren zur Messung der wirtschaftlichen, ökologischen und sozialen Leistung und ermöglichen damit eine gewisse Vergleichbarkeit (a); die GRI-Standards basierten bis Juni 2018 auf den GRI-Richtlinien (letzte Version G4); im Oktober 2016 wurden die G4-Richtlinien in ein Set modularer, miteinander verbundener Standards (GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards) umstrukturiert, die seit Juli 2018 die verpflichtende Grundlage für die GRI-Standards bilden (b)
