EXP: neben einer kontinuierlichen Überwachung von Gesundheit und Gesundheitswesen (Monitoring) bearbeitet das Gesundheitsobservatorium fünf Kompetenzbereiche: «Kosten und Finanzierung», «Demographie und Versorgung», «Gesundheitsberufe und Versorgungssicherheit», «Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention» sowie «Psychische Gesundheit, Erkrankung und Behinderung». Das Obsan stellt Bund, Kantonen und weiteren Institutionen im Gesundheitswesen seine Resultate zur Verfügung und führt auch auf Anfrage massgeschneiderte Analysen und Beratungen durch
