Die Sonnenenergie, welche in Form von Licht und Wärme auf die Erdoberfläche trifft, kann auf verschiedene Weise genutzt werden: Durch Photovoltaik-Anlagen (PV) zur Stromerzeugung, durch Sonnenkollektoren zur Wärmeerzeugung (Warmwasser und/oder Heizungsunterstützung) oder durch konzentrierende Systeme für chemische Prozesse und für die Stromproduktion.
L'energia solare, che giunge sulla superficie terrestre sotto forma di luce e calore, può essere sfruttata in diversi modi: attraverso impianti fotovoltaici (PV) per generare energia elettrica, collettori solari termici per captare il calore (acqua calda e/o integrazione agli impianti di riscaldamento) o sistemi di concentrazione per attivare processi chimici e produrre elettricità.
