Als halogenorganische Verbindungen werden chemische Verbindungen aus Brom, Jod, Fluor und Chlor bezeichnet. In Verbindung mit Kohlenwasserstoffen bilden Halogene sehr wirksame Lösungsmittel. Bekannteste Vertreter sind DDT, PCP und PCB.
