Selon le scénario d'apprentissage continu idéal, l'apprenant utilise à sa convenance différents types de technologies, en profitant des possibilités offertes par chacune – par exemple la mobilité du smartphone ou le clavier de l'ordinateur de bureau – pour assurer la continuité de l'expérience d'apprentissage d'un appareil à l’autre et d'un cadre à l'autre.
