Ensemble d'opérations réalisées sur un système de mesure pour qu'il fournisse des indications prescrites correspondant à des valeurs données des grandeurs à mesurer (b).

Eliminazione di scarti inammissibili del valore di lettura del misurando mediante un riferimento appropriato e riproducibile, affinché i prescritti errori massimi tollerati possano nuovamente essere rispettati (a). Insieme di operazioni svolte su un sistema di misura, affinché esso fornisca indicazioni prescritte in corrispondenza di determinati valori di grandezze da sottoporre a misurazione (b).
