B. eine verminderte Bienenzahl) tritt in der Regel erst bei fortgeschrittener Krankheit auf

Il contagio avviene solo se le larve ingeriscono le spore nelle prime 48 ore dello stadio larvale (consumo di papa reale infetta); gli insetti adulti non si ammalano ma possono essere vettori dell’agente patogeno. I sintomi clinici, tra cui una covata rada, a mosaico, diventano evidenti soltanto allo stadio avanzato della malattia
