Offence in which a person by fraudulent means causes a public official or a person acting in an official capacity to certify an untrue fact of substantial legal significance, and in particular to certify a false signature or an incorrect copy as genuine, or makes use of a document obtained by fraud in this way in order to deceive another as to the fact certified therein.

Infraction commise par une personne qui, en induisant en erreur un fonctionnaire ou un officier public, l'amène à constater faussement dans un titre authentique un fait ayant une portée juridique, notamment à certifier faussement l'authenticité d'une signature ou l'exactitude d'une copie, ou qui fait usage d'un titre ainsi obtenu pour tromper autrui sur le fait qui y est constaté.

Reato commesso da chiunque, usando inganno, induce un funzionario o un pubblico ufficiale ad attestare in un documento pubblico, contrariamente alla verità, un fatto d'importanza giuridica, in ispecie ad autenticare una firma falsa o una copia non conforme all'originale, o fa uso di un documento ottenuto in tal modo per ingannare altri sul fatto in esso attestato.
