Riunione delle due Camere federali in seduta comune sotto la direzione del presidente del Consiglio nazionale in particolare per procedere alle elezioni di competenza dell'Assemblea federale (membri del Consiglio federale, cancelliere della Confederazione, giudici dei tribunali della Confederazione, procuratore generale della Confederazione, generale ecc. ), per decidere sulle domande di grazia e sui conflitti di competenza tra le autorità federali supreme, nonché in occasione di eventi speciali (p. es. ricevimenti di Stato) e per prendere atto di dichiarazioni del Consiglio federale.

Réunion des deux Chambres fédérales en séance commune, sous la direction du président du Conseil national, notamment à l'occasion d'élections (des membres du Conseil fédéral, du chancelier de la Confédération, des juges des tribunaux fédéraux, du procureur général de la Confédération, du général, etc. ), de l'exercice du droit de grâce ou de décisions relatives à des conflits de compétence entre les autorités fédérales suprêmes ainsi qu'à des occasions spéciales (p. ex. visites d'État) ou encore pour prendre connaissance de déclarations du Conseil fédéral.

Versammlung der beiden eidgenössischen Räte in gemeinsamer Sitzung, die unter der Leitung der Nationalratspräsidentin oder des Nationalratspräsidenten steht und namentlich für Wahlen (u. a. von Bundesrätinnen und Bundesräten, der Bundeskanzlerin oder des Bundeskanzlers, von Richterinnen und Richtern der eidgenössischen Gerichte, der Bundesanwältin oder des Bundesanwalts, des Generals), für Entscheide über Begnadigungsgesuche und über Zuständigkeitskonflikte zwischen den obersten Bundesbehörden sowie bei besonderen Anlässen (z.  B. Staatsempfänge) und zur Entgegennahme von Erklärungen des Bundesrats einberufen wird.
